Cadbury faces hostile bid
Posted by admin under bid
This trend was started by Oracle and it gobbled up many fine companies. Some of those companies were just bought to make them disappear from the business scene. The re-run of old drama is being staged with Cadbury now. Kraft Food has proposed $16.3 billion deal. Cadbury is more than 195 year old company and it has plans to fight the hostile bid. There are rival offers from Hershey and Ferrero as well. Cadbury does not want to sell itself to a foreigner company and it has created great interest in this company from share holders. Company has urged its investors to support it during the tough times. Nobody can say what is going to happen to Cadbury. There are many instances when these take over bids took many years to complete. There have been law-suits and investors selling the parts to the other companies. It is complex world of M&A. There may be some merits with both the sides and it is better that two companies must take a path which is good for investors.
